<p><strong>&nbsp;AVM Robert Treloar AO</strong></p>

<p>Bob flew helicopters in South Vietnam with No 9 Squadron, 1969-70, before flying fighter aircraft.</p>

<p>He commanded an F/A-18 Hornet Squadron; an Air Defence Wing, Integrated Air Defence System, Malaysia, and was Commander Australian Theatre, responsible for ADF operations in East Timor, ADF support to the Sydney Olympics and other operations.</p>

<p>Transferring to the RAAF Reserve in 2001 he served on the ADF Airworthiness Board for 17 years and led a review for interoperability of the ADF and U.S. Armed Forces.</p>

<p>Appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 1988 and promoted to Officer of the Order in 2000.&nbsp; He was mentioned-in-despatches for action in Vietnam.</p>
