I had the privilege of serving in the Royal Australian Air Force for 21 years and was posted in two major conflicts- the Malaysian Emergency and the Vietnam War. My contributions were recognized with the prestigious US Air Medal for my service in Vietnam. Additionally, I was stationed in Malaysia during the Indonesian Confrontation, further solidifying my experience and dedication. After my military service, I embarked on a new career path as a Hygiene Inspector. I pursued higher education and earned multiple degrees with honours in various fields such as Building, Engineering, Environmental Health, and Local Government Management. My expertise was acknowledged when I became an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Health in London, as well as a member of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors and the Australian Institute of Health Surveyors. Transitioning into Local Government, I held senior management positions in several councils for over three decades. Notably, I played a pivotal role in planning and establishing recycling programs that are still in practice today in New South Wales. I even founded the Local Government Recycling Co-operative Ltd., facilitating the export of paper and cardboard during a period of surplus collections. Beyond my professional endeavours, I have dedicated myself to advocating for veterans' rights and welfare. As a Level 3 Advocate for Veterans for Pensions and Welfare claims for 15+ years  Department of Veterans Affairs for 6+ years and trained Advocates for Department of Veterans Affairs.
